.... Last Sunday, Saran and I boarded a night flight back from Kuching. After having heavy breakfast in the hotel, I could not spare for another lunch. So, we spent whole day running our own errands without bothering too much about food. At Steve's, I just had fruits and at Libat's I had tea which is enough to fill me up. When we get to the airport, some angels met me there and brought some mee kolok and sambal . As soon as we smell the mee kolok, we then realized how extremely hungry we were. So, we decided to hit the food on the aeroplane.
Scene 2
We found a seat in the middle of the aeroplane and decided to keep away from the aisle. However, the seat next to Saran left unoccupied and we both were hoping silently that some chinese or native will take the seat .. (you understand what I mean). Silently we both keep our eyes pinned on the entrance betting in our mind to say which guy will take the sit next to her.. Eventually, in the midst of the noisy and busy passengers settling down, then he appeared asking if the seat is still available. Has a good look with tall frame and nice casual attire. We both give each other the kind of thumb-up look as we managed to get a good looking hunk to sit besides us.
Scene 3
Throughout the flight, Saran and I kept on busy chatting while hitting maggie mee instead of mee kolok because we afraid that he might be a muslim. The guy kept his cool and once in a while gulping his mineral water and obviously trying to get some sleep. As we landed, Saran offered him some sweets which he declined politely. However, It was the starting of the conversation. He, like us too is Sarawakian and went back to Kuching to visit his parents (Nice son huh?!) He said, he has to catch another connecting flight that evening to the East Coast as he work there and had to rush to get out of the plane.
Scene 4
We walk leisurely to the luggage terminal as we know that it will take quite sometimes to unload the baggages from the plane. As we reach there, we could see his tall frame standing among the crowds and suddenly he looked back and saw us. We smiled at each other. While waiting for our luggage to arrive, We chit chat for a while and exchange numbers promising to call us whenever he come down to KL. His good command of English could tell that he's decent and nice guy and of a well-to-do family. Interesting? Yes.
Scene 5
As Saran and I waiting for Devong at the arrival hall, he passed by and again, he smiled at us and waved as he proceeded to go up the next level for check-in. Devong called saying that she missed the junction to KLIA and trying to find way back. While waiting, Saran and I found a seat infront of the large screen and watch "The Apprentice". Suddenly, my phone rang....oops!! It's him. He called just to find out if we have left. I said no. I asked him if he managed to get a seat on the next flight. He said yes. Then he talked to Saran and hang up.
Scene 6
Two days later. He send me SMS just to say hi.
Scene 7
A day later, nearly midnight he called me saying that he'll be coming down to KL over the weekend and I said fine, as we could meet up for coffee or mamak. Then right after we hang up, few minutes later, he sms'ing me again... Asking for a place to stay in KL. Oh ho..! Here we go!!
I just ignored the text.
The next morning, I replied his sms saying that its up to him to stay wherever he wanted to. My polite way to stay out of whatever intention he has in mind.
Scene 8
Last night, he sms me asking if he could stay at my castle... being ready for this, I said, my 'castle' is all girls and they are religious. Guess what? He suggest that we could stay in one of the hotel in town!! WHAT THE HECK!! Trying not to be too harsh and rude, In a jokingly manner I asked him if i could bring another five girls with me to join him... no reply.
This morning, as I got up, I found two messages in my phone. One of it is from him. He said, "Be my guest"...
I chuckled and shake my head telling myself.. "What a stranger.."
MORAL OF THE STORY :
Things aren't always the same as it seems. Some people may look good and decent on the outside, but rotten in the inside. Be careful of a new stranger. There are lots and lots of masks around.
They may look like saint, but inside they are devil
So watch out..
