Parenting

I just came back from Borneo yesterday and I had refreshing trip this time.

Yes, its good to be back home.

And on my way home yesterday, we were on airbus flight and despite the convenience of having plenty of seats around enough for me to put my carry on stuffs and stretching my leg, I was quite disturbed with this two kids (feel sorry for the parents) who keep on wailing aboard the flight.

They were given seats at the middle row with 4 chairs and the father brought the eldest kid to seat at the window side which is one row in front of me as he claims to the flight attendance that the boy just like window seating. Not long after, a Korean family of four arrived and asking for the seats (it was their seats). Apologizing to the family, the boy's father asked him to return to their own seats to which the boy begin to wail and kicked the seats. Gosh! If that were my child, I will really punish him for such behavior!

Eventually, the Korean family settled at the middle row in front of me and the boy's father muttered his thank you to the family.

Seeing how the parents handled their kids, it was really really annoying. Yes, I was born into family who believe in cane and discipline. Ask everyone in my family, nobody has ever escaped the cane and discipline (my mom is a strict disciplinarian - from our bed to table manner and conversations).

As Pastor Daniel always mentioned in his sermon, a child should be disciplined from a very, very early stage. Even from the womb. If you are to discipline your child from the age of 5, you are 5 years too late. It has to start from the womb.

Canning and discipline was also mentioned in the book of Proverbs!

Maybe some people thought that, they could handle their hyper kids the way the were, but think about other people. Especially like yesterday's scenario. I believe everyone who sits around the couple was annoyed with the non stop wailing and not to mention how the smallest kids running up and down the aisle make it difficult for the flight attendants moving about to deliver our meals.

So, my point is discipline your child from the early age and be a parents. Parents means obedient and discipline. It will make your child a good person!
