The Apples and The Heart Beat of Borneo

Why The Apples? Why The Heartbeat?

Never did I knew how my father started grew an apples and how it was revealed in a vision of one lady. My dad, as I knew him, he has good hands on soil and nature. Of recent, I just knew how at one time a lady saw him planting an apple tree in Ba Kelalan in her vision - years before he did and years after the tree beared fruits, as the lady saw the orchard herself - then only she told my dad about the vision.

And why Ba Kelalan, of all places?

We have numerous highlands with good soil throughout Malaysia. Not to mentioned places with even cooler climates, but why Ba Kelalan - the humble, rural village?

People come and go. Many were touched, not by the apples but by the ambience of this simple village. Many returned and keep on returning. It is not the apples that attracted them to come back.

It is something else, apart from the apples.

Something of a toothless grin or smile (as written by a friend), something of fine wrinkles on a lovely face, something of a warm handshakes and stroke at your back, something of a graceful laughter when they could not speak English to you, something of giving because they know you or because you are their children's friend..

There are so many something that makes them want to come back. Something that gives the heartbeat to the place.

The heartbeat for Ba Kelalan.

This uncle of mine shared with me of some insights given to him during their pilgrimage trip to Mt Murud last few weeks - something about the heart of Borneo.

This village is located in the Heart of Borneo. And the people are the heart of Ba Kelalan. Yet, there is something else in the heart of these tribes here, that makes people want to come back again and again.

They are people of simple lifestyle. Simple faith. They have the heart of simply loving.

To me, it is the heart of the FATHER God and His grace and love that breath life into this part of The Heart of Borneo.

It is the Heart of The Father.

The creator of the Apples and The Heart Beat of Borneo.
