I have just finished making Triangle Cheese Cake for tonight's desert and now I'm lazying myself in Tim's airconditioned room (why I mention this is because Lawas is tad hot in the noon!) while surfing the net.
Many people whom I met, made friend with does not believe that cook. Yes, I do cook. I admit, I am not as good as my older sisters at cooking but at least I am familiar in working my way around in the kitchen. I remembered during my school day, I baked my first sugar-less coffee cake (If i'm not mistaken I was in my primary 4) as I forgot to add sugar! Yet, my sister who was then teaching part time whilst awaiting for her entry to Uni made every effort to enjoy the cake by spreading honey on each slices. From then on, my mom and sisters keep on encouraged and mentored me with basic cooking skills etc. To whom I owe my cooking skills today.
Mom says, cooking is essential for woman especially with their roles in the households. To which I agree.
I do not really fancy doing house chores on everyday basis but when I have my own family, I will have my maid to do all the house chores but I will cook for my family. I will have to take that role of cooking for my husband and children. I do not like the idea of having my family to have fast food or take away dinner every single day because of my career or job.
That is the reason why, I always make it a point to learn baking and cooking from my sisters and aunts whenever time permit.
Because glorious food makes a good fellowship.
